All taken with the DFA 24-70/2.8 lens. When viewing or photographing flowers & blossoms I am so impressed with the amazing beauty. Especially with photos where the detail is seen up close. But at the same time I am also amazed at the vast variety of insects that most likely see the flowers as simply a life supporting substance. Actually I don't know if they see not the beauty, perhaps they do. It is said that the brain of a honey bee has the same components as the human brain, just quite a bit smaller. So who knows exactly how insects interpret the world. Just sharing my crazy thoughts...I know, stick with sharing just the photos:(

Hello Eric, I favor the slow speed shot. It has been quite some time since I was on this thread, and thank you very much for your concern. The Luxembourg creature has returned so I reckon it is time for me to get with the program..:hmm:

You had plenty of time before, so now I guess with a little bit more that means you have an excess of time. Is that your silly excuse for abandoning us, lack of time...:( Certainly you must know that I expect top of the line superb images posted by you...since you have a bit more time to capture them...:D And if you think for one minute that I am going to be like the others and say I missed you, well think again mister...well OK, a little bit...:) I do hope Rupert told you where you could stick your weird moon shots...:rolleyes: Four years ago redpit mentioned the joyful and calm mood in the PF...well it was what it was...and now it is what it is............welcome back Frederic:)

Mike, as always you did a fine job to capture that awesome scene...as I've said before...you have the eye for that. That is the kind of scene that causes me to study the image for several minutes, such a beautiful and interesting landscape.

Welcome to this thread. I joined the forum 2 months before I got my camera. And I viewed every photo on all the pages of this thread and several others prior to posting any of my photos. So maybe we are both crazy, but there are so many fantastic shots posted that it is incredible and a loss for those who never saw many of them. Looking forward to any of your contributions in the future...and wish you a world of photographic fun.

Please take no offense but I agree with the remark by Peter. When I first set eyes on that photo I thought OMG, a beautiful capture of a beautiful woman with a subtle soft warm effect...but I would do that in a portrait frame; take the cell phone out of the image, although it provides a perfect source of light to her I think it would be a much more superb image without it; and as Peter said, remove the object behind her shoulder. Yes, just a difference of opinion, but I have to tell you that is a really fine image in my eyes, one of the best I have seen on this forum, but think it could be even finer.

Thank you so much for posting that video. What an awesome piece of engineering. I have always loved the old steam locomotives, did some fairly good pen & ink sketches of them many years ago. For 15 years we had a steam train running thru this area, actually right thru our front yard roughly 10 meters from the house. Ten years ago they stopped running and converted to a bike trail. I took some photos with my old Pentax point & shoot, will have to find the prints and copy them with the K-1 and post them. Also I was very much a fan of Jackie Stewart, it put a smile on my face when George posted his remark. I guess for the 3 of us it tells of our age...:)

Hopefully soon I will take & post some snow shots, have a nice covering of it today. I apologize for not shooting lately, seriously it has troubled me not to be out & about taking photos of anything. For a wee bit more than a month I have had to deal with some issues: medical with me; the house; the farm truck and some odds and ends. All things are improving slowly so I hope to get back in action. By the way, I am not a hater of the moon (noon), just your photos of it...:lol:

Well, typically I do avoid your post Frederic...but by accident I looked at that one. I certainly agree with the Taterman that the pelican is for sure a handsome critter...unlike your moon goon shots...:D
But, I have to tell you that the meal had me watering at the mouth. I love everything about it...well except the photo itself. You definitely have caused me to hate the DA70/2.4 lens...simply cause I can't afford it right now...:(
Sorry Eric, I just happen to be in a kind mood...and now hungry...:( I promise I will not do it again...:hmm:
