A fella in PA took the flat head engine from a 1940's school bus and did some fantastic work on this old 8N.

The Allegheny Mountain Engine & Implement Association held their 41st show and demonstration at Port Allegheny, Pennsylvania recently and here are photos of some of the tractors. I think that 3rd shot of an old Farmall is an F-12 or F-20, not sure.

Racer, a short story for you. Last year a friend made a visit to the state of Washington and brought back a book which he loaned to me. It is a collection of absolutely incredible photographs taken by the late Darius Kinsey who died in Sedro-Woolley on May 13, 1945. Many of his photos were taken there but most were his documentary of the logging industry. I spent many enjoyable hours & days studying the fantastic photos that man took. During the late 1800's and early 1900's some of my kin folks worked in that industry in some of the very same areas that he photographed. What an awesome forest and people and his photos did such a terrific job to show & tell the history. The work by Kinsey has left quite an impression on me, some of his photos made me feel as though I had stepped back in time and was actually there. It certainly gave me a jolt when I saw your post of a photo taken near that town. Perhaps some day I will muster up the ambition to make a trip to the Great Northwest, I have no doubt that I would be grateful that I did.

Here is a shot of my old 8N. Wish I had more room in the barn, hate to leave this good old tractor outside for the winter.

Old blue is still going strong. Here are a couple photos of my neighbor taken in some eared corn one row at a time. Slow but it gets the job done.

Racer X 69, thank you. Some of the old MF's are a joy to run that is for sure. KCOPET, thanks for the welcome. Now that you mention it, I most likely have that look pret near every time I get on one of my tractors. Thrilled to have them & thrilled to be able to still run them.

Grandson Elias just turned 6 and he says he is ready to run that old massey. The tractor is actually the FE35 built in England in 1959; has a 3 cylinder Perkins that runs really smooth, love that engine. Rebuilt the rear end; replaced the ring & pinion gears & all the bearings; replaced the double clutch; payed someone else to rebuild the fuel injection pump; purchased a new pipe & muffler just have to make the time to replace it. I use the tractor for plow & disc work every year.
Second photo shows some excitement on Elias's face, he made my day. goatsNdonkey, it took me awhile to get here, but hey I am a wee bit old & very slow. Love tractors, especially the older ones, love the great shots posted on this thread & happy to now be a part of it.
