Taken with my Samsung NX1 and SMC Pentax 28mm f/2.8. I am guessing about the lens, EXIF data is of no help. Could have been my SMC Pentax M 20mm f/4 but I doubt it. The perspective and field of view seems kinda normal. Either way, the SMC kept flare under control.
As the thread title states, this is a stupid trick that just kinda happened. My game plan was manual mode, taking a few shots to get the exposure right for the low sun. Apart from that, I can't tell you what the actual trick is. Must be down to the way the Samsung sensor handles vastly blown out highlights. |

Way too much graininess and softness, but it kinda, sorta works. What do you think? |

Here is what happened when I defished the image above with Darktable. Not bad, but the car on the right looks really weird. Not to mention the pedestrian. Forget about getting a fisheye, thinking that it will double as an ultra wide with the aid of software.
