That is so cool and I now feel unworthy. My lenses are scattered over a few camera bags, a cupboard and a filing cabinet drawer. :o

I can state that my GAS is under control - I have not ordered anything during the entire 2024. ;)

A Christmas gift from myself to myself - Sigma 28mm f/1.8 Aspherical. It has a few scratches on the plasticky barrel, the original lens hood did not make the trip and the caps are third party replacements. Since it was only USD50 and it works fine, I am a happy camper.
Not quite a bokeh monster, but I can work with it. :) |

It is a security camera, complete with WiFi connectivity and a solar cell to power it and charge the battery for night time duty.

A Leica projector lens on some sort of helicoid focusing adapter is my best guess.

I have picked up a Samsung NX1100 today, body only. Luckily I had a Samsung NX 16-55/3.5-5.6 kit lens that needed a home. I got it a few years ago but it seemed a little out of place on the NX1. Yes, call me weird, but an NX1 needs to rock a 16-50/2-2.8, which I do have.
Ever since the untimely departure of my Samsung NX100, I have yearned to have a point and shoot kinda body again. An NX500 would have been nice, but they are rare and tend to be expensive.
One downside is that the NX1100 is a bit of a beginner special. It can do everything one expects, but there are few buttons and one needs to dive into menus a lot more than on something like the NX1.
This body cost me about USD80, complete with charger, mini flash and 16 GB SD card. It shows little sign of use, but I don't know the shutter count. Samsung bodies do not yield that info without firmware hacking, apparently. Even so, no complaints from me. This bad boy can go places where my other five bodies (GAS, not me, hehehe) can't. It slides ride into my laptop bag, for instance. None of the others will do that.
The NX1100 body is so dinky that even the kit lens looks huge on it. One of Samsung's NX pancake lenses will go very nicely with it. That 20/2.8 looks very tasty but since my GAS is under control, I will not succumb to temptation. The kit lens or my SMC Pentax M 20/4 on a K-NX adapter will have to suffice. It is just that the latter is becoming more valuable by the day and one does not want too venture too far away from home with it.

Just a used 52mm lens cap, for the princely sum of (about) two US dollars. Yes, things are a bit slow on this side. ;)

I just took delivery of a Linhof tripod, complete with ball head. It was advertised as vintage and it really is, as it was made in West Germany.
I was actually thinking of getting a ball head. Now I have one, with its very own tripod attached. A new ball head would have been USD100 plus. I paid USD10, very happy! :D ---------- Post added 2023-07-14 at 16:32 ----------
If you have a bunch of 49mm and 52mm filters, I have a quite a few SMC Pentax M lenses take uses them. All of them do have filters, but I might buy more lenses soon. ;)

It looks like this A100/4 macro is going to claim a permanent spot in the bag for itself, just like the K50/1.2 did. :D

A very nice man rang the doorbell earlier today and handed me a package containing an SMC Pentax A 100mm f/4 Macro. I paid about USD50 for it and I am very happy so far.
I did have to peel off the little golden JCII PASSED sticker to make it perfect. No idea why people left them on lenses and cameras. ;)

A department store near me had a buy one get one free on rechargable AA NiMH batteries. I splashed out on two packs of four. My K3 battery grip is now in use. Despite the pack saying that they were ready for use, I still had to charge them. For less than USD15, no complaints from me.
Incidentally, the K3 with Sigma 24-70/2.8 and battery pack weighs in at 1.88kg.

I am back at home and the battery grip fits my K3 perfectly. I now have to get a D-Li90 or six AA batteries to go inside it, but which one? I can get the AAs around the corner but delivery time for the D-Li90 will be a couple of days. The AAs can be used for my other Pentax bodies, i.e. the K200D and *istDL. Or in a flash unit. Decisions, decisions. Why not both?
On the non-photography side, I have finally scratched the automatic watch itch with a lightly used Orient Mako 1. Picture off the web, I will break out the new-to-me SMC Pentax M 100mm f/4 macro and do some product photography later today.
I now have a watch collection of two. The other one is an analog plastic fantastic Casio. The watch collection rabbit hole goes very deep and I think that I had better stay out of it. :D

I have acquired a third party battery grip for my Pentax K3 but have not had a chance to try it out. The thing is, I am on a business trip. Being in Europe means that I can shop a bit, but the K3 is back at home. It is too precious for traveling. :D

Good times are here again. I just pulled the trigger on an SMC Pentax M 100mm f/4 macro for less than USD50. The catch is that there is a bit of haze inside the front element. When it gets here, it will go straight to my repair guy. I have dealt with the seller before, so I expect it to be not too bad - as he says.

The K3 and 25/2.4 arrived yesterday, while I was on a business trip. I emailed the couriers to deliver today, in the interest of discretion. Unfortunately, the memo did not reach the right people. This meant that there was a short discussion about the need for another camera. ;)
That aside, i like the non-contraband K3 very much. There are very few signs of wear and tear and it looks nearly new. I have not checked the shutter count yet. I am saving it as a surprise, hehehe. It came in the original box with all the accessories. The strap seems to be a third party product, but it has generous padding and I am not complaining. I have quite full program today, so I have not done much with it yet.

After a long dry spell, I have jumped into the pool again and it is going swimmingly. A local shop have had a KX on their website for a while now. The price is about USD150. Not a bad deal but it has an 18-55 kit zoom included in the price. I already have two of them, which make it a bit of a deal breaker. After thinking about it long and hard, I came up with the thought of emailing them about a different deal.
My brilliant idea was to suggest a swap for another Pentax lens that they have in stock. I would then buy the KX and other lens, with a small discount for the kit lens that they will keep. They might or might not go for it, since those kit lenses can't be easy to shift. That is why I sweetened the deal. No harm in asking, so I forged ahead.
Looking at the used Pentax stuff on the website, I saw a DA 35/2.4 that would expand my collection nicely. I do not have any Pentax AF prime lenses yet, might as well get started. I was about to start typing that email when my eye caught something else.
There it was - a Pentax K3 body at a price I could relate to! No stinking kit lens included - what a deal! After thinking about it for about three seconds I went downstairs for my wallet to get my debit card number. That K3 is now mine. Yes, I took the DA 35/2.4 as well. Why not? The total is about USD440 (free shipping included) and I could not be happier. It should be here by the middle of next week. :D PS: now to start shopping for a battery grip and GPS unit...

I recently took delivery of an SMC Pentax 35mm f/3.5. This means that I now own one of Asahi Optical Company's finest in all of the popular focal lengths*, except for 85 and 300mm. I do have a Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 to tide me over until I can snag a Pentax. On the 300mm front I only have an old Tamron in M42 that has seen better days. I am working on it.... ;)
Here is one of my first efforts with the 35/3.5:
[*] to be precise: 20, 24, 28, 35, 50, 100, 135, 200 and 400mm

After a long drought, I have expanded my collection with an SMC Pentax 135mm f/2.5. It will go nicely with the SMC Pentax 135mm f/3.5 and 200mm f/2.5 that I already have. The SMC Pentax 85mm f/1.8 would round out my budding K series telephoto collection - maybe one day.
For now my Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 serves me well. What would be nice is the Rokinon 135mm f/2 to go with it, but they are fairly rare in K mount and I am not in any hurry. The new-to-me Pentax will do nicely for now.

After recently stating on a thread that I would rather have a shoulder bag, than a backpack, I have put my money where my mouth is. I picked up a shoulder bag for a great price at a store sale. The label says Point Professional which means no9thing to me. It is nearly new, big, sturdy and all canvas. It is now the biggest bag that I own. I have not yet figured out how to arrange the dividers to house my gear.
I also picked up a used Cokin 007 infra-red filter and 49mm P ring. With my *ist DL (standard, not modded in any way) and some SMC Pentax M lenses, I am now in the IR business. I grabbed a few test shots today and the results were encouraging.
Total spent on the bag, ring and filter was about USD100. Not a bad haul, even if I say so myself.
