Thank You. I can't take all the credit on this one however. User Vidrazon on Cloudy Nights was the one who graciously did the post processing for me, I just shot, calibrated and stacked it in Affinity.
The setup was Pentax K-1 and Pentax 150-450 f/5.6-6.3 @ 450mm f/5.6
I mounted it on the Losmandy G-11 and used my MGEN 3 for guiding.

A recent trip to the San Antonio Zoo with some long lenses
D FA* 300,, f/4: This thing is sharp as a razor
D FA 150-450mm F4.5-5.6 ED DC AW Almost as sharp as the 300

I posted this elsewhere on the site a coupel of days ago, But I really like the DA* 300 f/4. Sharp as hell. This is a subset of the sequence.

I took the K-1 and it's friend the Pentax 150-450 to the LA Zoo over the weekend. Here are a few of my favorites from the outing. I'm amazed at how sharp this lens is.

I just picked up an FA* 300mm f/4.5 for a great price. I'm amazed at how sharp this lens is. Just a few test shots from the lens.

Hi all,
I've got a Sigma 50-500 f/4-6.3 APO (NON OS) on it's way to me from Japan. I won an eBay auction on uit.. As I have a K-1 I didn't think I'd need the version with OS. What's the difference between the two aside from the optical stabilization and slighter larger aperture? Is the image quality the same? Will be be disappointed in this lens and wish I'd spent 3x the money for the 4.3 OS version? I'm x posting this in several threads for maximum coverage.
