They could have called it a "K-3IIs" and release that while working on a true successor. Then again, this would dig in to the potential profits of the new camera and would probably be a bad business call.

Yeah, but then it's going to be so hard to remember the full name and the name will take up all the space on the camera... There won't be any space for buttons or a screen or anything.

I just got a K-3II and I alread love using the camera. For me, if I were to want anything upgraded, it'd be the number of AF points and mid- to high-ISO performance along with an articulating screen similar to the K-1's but more compact. I'd even accept less range of movement in exchange for a more compact articulating unit as long as it can articulate 90° vertically. But I know that for now, I wouldn't be buying a K-3III anyway because I wouldn't be able to afford it, now or in the near future.
