I recently bought a Think Tank Suburban Disguise 30 but when I got it I realized that it's too big for my use so I just bought a Think Tank Spectral 8. I'm gonna see how well that one works and probably sell the Suburban Disguise.

Just bought a Think Tank Suburban Disguise 30 shoulder bag for wandering around. Accidentally dropping my Sigma 18-35 Art twice kinda made me finally decide to pull the trigger on it.

I also got a set of Desmond Spike Feet and Snow Shoes for my tripod. Everything should be here by January.

With a new job comes new gear! I just got a new full time job as a Park Worker 3 at the state park I work at so I bought a new backpack and a new lightweight jacket. While those were more convenience purchases, I need to buy new boots to replace the pair of seriously worn out ones I currently wear so I'll be buying a pair of Red Wings. And eventually I'll be getting a Dewalt impact and screwdriver set.

I recently bought a new Dell XPS 17 9710 with an i7-11800K, RTX 3060, 64Gb RAM and a 1Tb SSD. So far I absolutely LOVE this computer. I also got an aluminum riser to help the laptop cool down.

Unfortunately I've been spending more on this than I'd like. And out of the watches I've been trying to build, I've yet to build a dress watch... So I bought a cheapish Seiko and a leather strap so I have one. After this, I think I'm done. Back to saving for the K-3III

Lately I've been buying some watches. Bought an Alpha chronograph which is an homage of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch and built a couple of watches. Right now, I'm in the process of building a watch based on the ETA 6498 with a self-painted starfield dial.

Recently bought a watch movement, some hands, a case, a dial, and a strap. I'm going to be putting together my own chronograph watch.

I recently got a Kenko MC7 2x teleconverter and a Kenko Pro 3x TC. I quickly tested them both and the 2x looks like it will be resold. I'll be keeping the 3x.

Just bought a new tripod collar from Amazon for the Sigma 300. This one has an arca swiss compatible foot so I can actually use it on my tripod.

I just got the used Sigma 300mm f2.8 that I bought last week! It was basically a steal at a little over $500. The seller said light fungus and dust. I see the dust. I don't see any fungus at all. The only real problem is that I'm missing the clamp screw that is tightened to hold the hood in place. There's some paint chips here and there and the lens cover fabric is starting to fray on the edges. Other than that it's perfect. This is one beast of a lens. I didn't realize that the hood is also metal. I definitely need to start lifting weights for this lens. I also got a SanDisk 128Gb ExtremePro card.

Speaking of cars, it's looking like the window motor in my mom's 2005 Nissan Sentra, which was originally my sister's first car, is succumbing to age. It will roll down the window fine but won't roll it back up. The motor runs until it stops but the window doesn't roll with it. When the motor is run fully up, the window is also very easy to pull up.

Well I didn't acquire anything but my sister may have acquired something.... Novel. She has been exposed to someone who may have been exposed to COVID a few days ago so now she's quarantining in her room. She hasn't even taken a test yet but she's absolutely adamant that she has no symptoms and thus she most definitely, totally, completely isn't sick... She's 99% sure... Even though she hasn't been tested...

Even though the person she was exposed to who may have been exposed to COVID reportedly had a high grade fever, with aching joints and, when he tried to stand up, felt like he was made of glass.

I just bought a Sigma 300mm f2.8 for just under $600 from Japan. I don't have it yet, but I paid for it. Just waiting for it to ship. The seller said it has some dust inside and "small mold around the dust." I didn't see anything but small dust spots and paint chipping in some areas in the photos. This will be my first truly exotic lens.

Just got a 2nd electronics board for my switch board. Turns out I don't need it for the one I'm making but since this one accepts digital inputs, I can make another box with rotary, or even dual rotary, encoders.

And I ordered 2 boxes of 10 cookies. Might not sound like much but these are 1/2 lb cookies.

I've been getting a lot of components to build a switch and button board that I'll be using on a flight simulator. So far it's been about a dozen switches, 2 integrated circuit boards and a lot of fastening hardware. All I need to do now is wire it up and I'm good to go.

I'm using an XPS with 32 Gb RAM and an i7 and L3 runs pretty well. I find that it and RawTherapee run better than darktable on my computer. I'm actually planning on upgrading it to 64 Gb RAM when I can.

Had quite a week this past week. Bought (in order of last remembrance):
-A Sabrent SATA hard drive enclosure so I could turn an old laptop hard drive into an external hard drive
-A Dell A525 speaker set with subwoofer
-A DB9 Y-splitter serial male to dual female adapter
- 2 DB9 serial male to female gender change adpaters
-A cheap ebay macro ring light
-2 pairs of 5.11 Tactical Stryke pants (had to return one because they sent me the wrong size)

-And an issue of Practical Photography magazine which came with a complimentary license of Luminar 3

Now I'm also looking at buying a plastic electronics enclosure and various types of toggle switches and potentiometers so I could make a device to control a flight simulator that I like to use.

Edit: Also bought a Samsung Galaxy Watch off of eBay a few days ago and a new nightstand last night.

I recently bought a pair of Baofeng UV-B6 radios, and 2 UV-82 radios along with 1 whip antennae. Despite being cheap Chinese radios, these are infinitely better than the Kenwood and Harris radios we use at work because these actually work.
