Yeah, it's looking to be that way, though I'll keep feelers out anyways, even for parts lenses with a clear rear element.

I can work with the haze until then, it works for certain things.

So the local camera repair shop cannot de-haze my lens due to the haze being in the rear element that is cemented together. The lens is a Mamiya K/L 127mm 3.5.

Short of buying a haze-free lens (which I may do, but a lot of them seem to have haze), does anybody have any leads on lens repair places (in North America, Canada even better) that could tackle this problem? Maybe somebody has a spare rear element kicking around? Maybe pigs fly?

Thanks for any and all help.

Gotta de-haze my lens, but it worked for this series (of which you can find the whole thing on my website):

Thanks!

I live about 30 minutes north of Souris, was teaching in the high school there for a bit. The bridge has indeed been upgraded, as it washed away during a rather nasty flood that hit the Souris River in 2011.

There is a small town near where I live that actually has 867 as the first three numbers of their phone numbers. My friend's dad had a cabin out there and he really wanted 867-5309 as his number because apparently he wanted to be harassed all day. He was an odd man.

Anyways, my summer gardening has been going great:

I like that second one quite a bit. The lighting in landscapes like that can get really abstract and wacky and cool.

Well, here's a scan of the frame with the light leak:

It actually kinda works...though I'd rather be able to control these things.

The corners would make sense, those are harder to seal up. Though this is pretty dramatic and also very specific to that frame, so who knows (maybe somebody on this forum)? Pro SD film backs (that don't use foam seals) seem to be hard to come by...hopefully I can fix this one up enough to use it without worrying.

Well, despite the best efforts of my dad and I, the RB67 film back still possesses at least one light leak:

It's only on the one frame, though, and it looks like a comet...very confused as to what part of the seals was not seal-y enough for this to happen. Any ideas?

Gotta strike when the ground is still cold. Warm, mushy ground absorbs too much of the burst.

Currently putting new light seals in the film back for my RB67, and by new light seals, I mean very fiddly black wool yarn. It'll happen, I just need to grow a couple more hands.

"Affected by flare", they said. They aren't wrong, but it ain't a problem, either:

I can confirm that my film back has light leaks. Didn't really ruin anything, but irritating nonetheless. I'll either replace the seals with wool or buy an actual Pro SD film back. Maybe both, though Pro SD backs are not easy to find, it seems.

Anyways, a portrait featuring the finest clothing brand 1995 had to offer:

Turns out finding actual Pro SD backs for my RB67 Pro SD is not as easy as finding the cameras for some reason. The seals the Pro S back that came with mine are looking grody...no light leaks, though. Plus I think the multiple exposure prevention system is not working.

I should have my first colour roll back this week, see how the 127mm renders colour. Pretty well, I would suspect.

Ah, I got ya. This was taken on Tri-X 400 and developed in...DDX? I think that's what I use.

The scans I got back from the lab had every frame a different tone for some reason, so I corrected them to middle grey before posting. Even then, some are kinda purple.
