I may be local but the building is not. :D It is insude the older part of Chelsea Market in New York (9th avenue and 16th street) for those wanting to visit.
Shots are about 2-3 weeks apart, on 2 separate visits, one using my K7 the other using my PZ-1 and 3200ISO Illford Delta film. I like the tonality of the high contrast film shot, the digital conversion is from a JPEG cropped down to get the same approximate field of view. this may account for some of the sharpness, but the impression I have is that while film grain (sometimes equated to noise on digital) is much worse, there is an apparent sharpness with the film that digital loses, although I am sure this is not quite fair. Just a quick play with curves on the greyscale image can make it appear to have more depth like the film shot.
