No. ANd reading the auction, it is clear that it does not
No they do not.
Same here, and no kit, but it is really not needed.
I used a pair of tweezers and a dental pick (to release the frame of the screen.
I have both a single split and dual split (parallel splits about .05mm apart) both work well, and take 5 minutes to install.
only thing to consider here is
1) pay attention to the orientation of both the origonal and nes screens to make sure they go in right side up.
2) dont rush,
3) dont rush,

Hypocorism
I find the dual split quite a bit more accurate than a single split. I think because you have two discontinuities

I asked Rachel Katz about this and she said that a horizontal split was more accurate. I think the real issue is the split is most accurate at right angles

This is what I put in my *istD
I do not notice any issue until at least F5.6 with respect to blacking out.
It is all a question of how you allign your eye to th esplit image.
I use it with a lot of MF and M42 lenses, but all mine are F2.8 or faster except for a couple of 200F3.5 lenses. so except for when I stop down, I always have a bright viewfinder.

I have a single split in my K10D which worked perfectly - no shimming, and a dual split in my *istD, which also worked perfectly - no shimming required.
Both are quite accurate, but I find the dual split easier to use.
Note that the split image finder does interfere with spot metering, so there is not much point using anything other than matrix/center weighted.
Compared to a KatzEye, I had some discussion with rachel Katz who said a diagonal split is not as accurate as a horizontal split image ( i think it has to do with accuracy needing to intersect at a right angle) but that has not bothered me. I use the microprism collar also as a function of what I am focusing on.
In the K10DF or *istD they are acceptably bright due to the penta prism.
Overall I am pleased, and have spent less than half the price of a single Katz eye to outfit 2 cameras
