What is interesting to me about these is comparing different parts of that target. While the engraving, to me, shows little to slightly less “sharpness” on MkII, with the photographs of faces, the difference appears to be slightly the other way, but possibly because there are fewer small details, except for the hair. Perhaps this means we are dealing with micro-contrast in the latter, rather than resolution. From this, it seems your subject matter is going to determine whether or not you regard the MkII as a benefit. In that case, having the ability to switch the accelerator unit on or off is obviously desirable. Certainly, that would help those worried about the MkII being a “star-eater” like the Sony.
Still, the comments that compare the D850 and A7Riii unfavourably with the K-1 are pretty clearly accurate.
