I’ve read him once or twice and, on that slim basis, I agree he’s above average, certainly more considered than most. The fact that people pay their own money to read his opinions, rather than advertisers paying per visitor, means he’s not relying on sensation (real or fabricated) to get attention. He’s also been in the game for a while, which means his approach works.

He says good things about the K-1ii and the DFA50/1.4. I don’t understand the negativity, just because he implies he’d like it more if the K-1 was mirrorless: it’s an opinion, and I don’t read it as a criticism. Note that he says in his latest blog that Sony’s version of PS is rubbish, and the Pentax one is superb, too.
