The important things with ticks are 1. get it out. 2. no food or water. 3. Wet a tea towel soak it with water and squeeze some water enough for one or two licks every hour vet says 20mins but I think and hour is safer. 4. Pray when they vomit it doesn't go into their lungs as that can cause phuenmonia that is why no water or food. If your dog need to go outside to piss or crap help them up and let them walk themselves if they can as they will see any improvement in what they can do and that will help their spirits.
Human antihystameans $8.00 over the counter at chemist works for dogs too my dog is 25k I gave her one and will give her one more.

My Dog got one of those small paralizing ticks in her head been 3 days no food started drinking a little water today and she didn't put up a fight when I trimmed her nails Haha usually I can't do it and have to get some one to hold her down. so here she is. ---------- Post added 03-03-18 at 11:21 PM ---------- She is alergic to some tick treatments so We have to just watch her.
Lady down the road gave me an antihystomine tablet gave it to bigdog and she was up and eating again in two hours. Get them from the chemist over the counter. Better than paying a vet $1230.00 for tick treatment.
