Stevebrot, I wrote a reply but not sure it went through to the forum. Thanks for your help, it's clear and your instructions work and are helpful. The display issues seem to be resolved but now I have a new issue. I was comparing settings on both cameras, and noticed a discrepancy. Two, actually. On one camera, in the Rec. Mode of the menu, the AF Mode is gray, and the down button skips over it so I can't change the setting.
Also, on the other camera, in the Rec. Mode of the menu, the setting for AE Metering is white, whereas it's green on the other camera. I am unable to change the setting to multi-segment, which I prefer.
Finally, I have shake reduction turned on on both cameras. On one, when I turn on the camera, the hand with the line through it shows, and on the other camera, it's not displayed. I did read pages 68/69 in the manual - no help.

I do have the manual and I enjoy research, it's just that I don't know which topic this falls under.

Ok, thanks! Pressing 'info' helped but left residual blinking color sections on display. Reset worked; I can go through my menu settings on the other camera and match them up. Thanks, everyone. It was so simple, too bad no one with me when it developed knew what to do to fix it. I can't imagine which button was hit when the camera slipped. Any ideas on that?

I'm not even certain what question I need to ask. I was outdoors with the camera around my neck, in an open vehicle, driving on rough roads. I would take pictures, then set the camera in my lap. One time, I forgot to turn the camera off after I took pictures, and then we hit a bump and it slipped.
Apparently, a button was pushed and some setting changed. Now, when I push the arrow button on the bottom left corner to display photos on the screen, there is a histogram with "RGB" next to it. There is a vertical yellow line on the left side of the histogram box and there is a vertical red line on the right side. In the 'box' there is white, looking like a graph. Is there a setting that was changed that I need to reset? I can't find it.
I have an identical Pentax camera and tried to match all the menu settings. I tried the Fn button, but don't know what I need to change to get rid of that display. The photos, for what it's worth, aren't affected, only the viewer screen is. Thanks for any help!
