I would call Precision and ask them. I would think big they have extra boards that they would do it. Though maybe they would want to keep some spares. Best bet is to call them.

Mine says it's shipped but the tracking number isn't working yet. I imagine it will later today. Probably hasn't been picked up yet.

Finally got some official information.
"Dear Donovan,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your past, present and future support. At this time I would like to update you on the status of your PENTAX K-1 Upgrade. Unfortunately, due to the unforeseen overwhelming success of the PENTAX K-1 Upgrade Service worldwide, the upgrade parts required to complete your upgrade are currently back ordered. However, with that being said, we have received notification from our Global Services Division that we will receive our final allocation of K-1 Upgrade Parts by mid December which will allow us to resume the K-1 Upgrade Service and have your camera returned to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and please accept our apologies for the delays.

I would hope that they would honor last minute send ins. They said the offer was through the end of September. Not until we run out of parts, or until a certain number of upgrades have been performed.

It makes me question the management of the company. How could they not expect a last minute rush on upgrades and have had a contingency plan of some sort. I fully expected to have some sort of wait due to me waiting until the end. Totally understandable and my fault. A three month wait to just get the parts seems unreasonable to me. That's also assuming that they get the parts at the end of December. Apparently it's been pushed back twice already with no gua8ot won't happen again.

End of December? Really? What the hell has Pentax been doing? This is really disappointing. It actually makes me question my decision to go with Pentax.

The frustration for me isn't that there is a delay. The frustration is no information from anyone about how long the delay is going to be. No information about why there is a shortage. No information about what is being done. No information about how long the wait is going to be. No information other than waiting on parts.

I just got off the phone with them and the lady said they have no update. I pointed out that the website say's the parts have been ordered and she said they have ordered the parts but have no ETA on when they will arrive. She said they are trying to find out.
So no one knows anything.

I just got of the phone with them as well. The customer service lady didn't have any information. She took my name and number and said she would email the Ricoh rep and get back to me. I'm not holding my breath on a quick reply or one at all for that matter.
