Both the Sigmas are good lenses, however, I do not really recommend the 18-50. At least the copy I had, suffered from terrible CA, it was a nice zoom for doing candids/portraits though, and many pictures seemed to have a slight yellow tint that was almost impossible to get rid of. If you want a zoom in that range (and dont want to pay the premium for pentax glass)I would recommend Sigma 17-70, its just as sharp with excellent color, better range, and still plenty fast...
The 70-300 is a great lens, especially for the price. I sold the first one I had, and ended up buying another I missed it so much...

The 40mm is a wonderful lens, and a great focal length on a DSLR, IMO. The color is beautiful, it is SHARP, and the build quality, quick shift focusing, and focusing speed beat the FA series lenses, hands down. I highly recommend it, it is one of my favorite lenses.
