In keeping with my promise to take my least used gear out when I am uninspired, I stuck the 15mm Ltd on my K-01 and went to lunch with a friend. There she mentioned she was doing a 15 minute LIVEcast promo at The Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory and asked if I wanted to go. I said sure.
When we arrived I learned the museum had arranged for a tour guide/docent to escort us on a private tour of the museum and factory. All I had was my K-01 with 15mm Ltd and the 40mm XS in my pocket. This was a whirlwind tour since my friend had another engagement. Still I lagged behind often enough that twice another museum employee was dispatched to insure I wasn’t wandering around the factory unescorted.

I took my K-01 w/ plastic fantastic 35mm to the distribution site of Louisville’s Forgotten and My Dog Eats First. The former provides food for the homeless and very poor and the latter low cost veterinary care and free pet food for pets of the homeless. I thought a DSLR would be too “official” looking and make folks ill at ease.
TOP: AJ and Chico. AJ is homeless and wheelchair bound.
BOTTOM: Auggie, a silver lab pup who belongs to a volunteer.

Spring Street Inn, Louisville, KY. This is one of the joints in my regular weekday lunch rotation. K-01 with DA 21mm Ltd setting flat on our regular high top lunch table. That combination of body and lens is the rig I carry on workdays and errands when I can’t carry a DSLR. (I bought the 40mm Xs pancake but 40mm is a little too long for my minds eye.) Since I took this photo, I’ve acquired some of the Q7 system. It remains to be seen if the K-01 will keep its spot as my camera of convenience.
