Thanks. I like the DOMKE, but if you do buy it, also get the optional lens padding accessory. The bag itself has no foam padding on the sides and/or top. I like the canvas' ability to be pliable in tight quarters (versus a Lowepro for example). My uncle was a journalist and his DOMKE lasted 20 years of beatings and excursions. They are not cheap, but they work for me in their simplicity. (I mean most here spend $1,000's on a kit, so what's dropping $200 for a time tested travel bag?). Cheers.

K-1 with:
SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 (fast and sharp walk-about lens)
Pentax 50mm f1.4 FA
Pentax 70mm f2.4 DA (fast crop mini telephoto)
SIGMA 12-24mm f4.5
Stuffed into a DOMKE F-2 standard bag that fits under the footwell in a coach seat with my MacBook Pro 13" on top...

I disagree...the small bird has rich color an detail. The SIGMA really performs well. I think the 100% crop is where the K10D shows its age, yet the regular shot is nicely detailed...I am a big fan of the SIGMA 70-30mm

I think the best K-1/ii travel kit is the KP with a 40mm Pentax pancake lens....Just kidding guys. But, I sold my K-3 and just bought the KP and it is a blast. Small, fast, APS-c, but you can't have everything. Still love the K-!ii though as it generates some of te best pictures I've ever taken ---------- Post added 11-28-18 at 01:05 PM ----------
I like the SIGMA 70-300 also. It did not require any fine lens adjustment and is much better coupled with the FF Sensor of the K-1ii. Since I rarely need more than 300mm, that is my largest macro lens as well. For the price, it's really good quality (AF a bit noisy, but I like the ability to make fine manual focus adjustments).

I have not tried any DA APS-c lens without the crop feature on the K-1ii....maybe we should try taking some pics and see how much vignetting and distortion there is and at what focal length/f/stop?

The crop (DA) lens gives me a different focal point for some shots and saves time in editing as the image is "pre-cropped" Also, the K-1ii's viewfinder will show the total FF outside the cropped brackets--that in itself, allows for a better composition on these photos. Just saying.... ---------- Post added 11-23-18 at 10:43 AM ----------
Also, the light weight and collapsibility of the 18-55mm relieves some of the carry load of the K-1ii with the 18-105mm larger kit lens as well as easier to travel at time with that mid-telefocal reach

When I travel I carry the K-1ii with the 28-105. In my carry-on bag I bring my DA 18-55mm (crop) and a 35mm f/2 prime or the 50mm 1.4....all the glass I generally need....36mp's provides for a lot of cropping to get more telephoto type results....
