Fantastic job!
I'd really like to learn this stuff one day. So far, my biggest achievement was to lubricate the focusing helicoid in the M 50/1.7 .

HD DA 20-40 continues to be a fine lens; versatile and the zoom range is usually enough for my daily applications. Sometimes I miss the portrait range but nothing dramatic. My performance has been so-so, mostly due to limited time, but I hope to do better from now on :)

Assuming you don't want to go back to the K3 (there's a pretty awesome listing in the Marketplace now), you cannot go wrong with the KP. Light, full of capabilities... tilt screen is a nice bonus for low-level shots. The only thing which might take time to get accustomed to is the grip/ergonomics.

I had a great month with the HD DFA 100/2.8 macro. The focal length suits me well and the lens performance is great. I like the wide-open sharpnes - not 'clinical' but enough to feel comfortable with it. The only downside would be focus hunting - at times the lens can go along its whole range in search for focus. Otherwise - a very pleasant to use. Some of my faves are below. Thank you all for your kind company this month. |

I'm leaning toward the DA 20-40. After a macro-lens month I'll wait some time before picking up the A 50/2.8 macro.

I like your results with this lens. I think I'm going to pick it out for April's SIC.
Have fun on a holiday :)

I still don't know. Either the 20-40 or the 50/2.8 macro, which I have just picked up from a sticky-aperture repair. I was briefly thinking of the 55-300 PLM, too, as the birds became active, but I think I'll spare this one for the summer.
