Great info everyone. I've chosen the D FA 28-105 and the Tokina 20-35mm II (couldn't pass it up - $125 on ebay, only one for pentax that I could find). Excited to try it all out when they come in. Last time I shot Pentax was K1000 on film. I'll probably add a 50mm prime and rokinon 14mm down the road.
Now, if anyone's interested in Canon gear...

Thanks everyone for the input. I did see that it was a fisheye, but the sample images i've seen are not too bad. The FA 20-35mm is also a good option, I appreciate that input.
Anyone have experience with the tokina 20-35mm f3.5-4.5? the price difference between that and the FA is pretty significant. And the tokina looks like it has had pretty good reviews on this site.

So I've decided to go full frame and finally decided on the K1 (couldn't argue with dynamic range and noise). Now, my question is replacing my lenses. I shoot mostly landscapes. I have the tokina 12-24mm and the canon 24-105mm L with Canon (which I will be unfortunately selling..). I'm trying to replace them with FF alternatives.
Through combing reviews, I'm thinking of the following for use with the K1 (full frame lenses):
Pentax SMC 17-28mm (for my wide angle choice)
and
Pentax D FA 28-105mm (to replace my previous 24-105mm L)
Anyone with a similar transition with any other further input. I may add Rokinon/Samyang 14mm for lower light astrophotography down the road as well.
The Pentax 24-70 and 15-30 seem like good options but are bigger lenses than I am looking for (as I frequently take my gear hiking...)
Thanks in advance,
George
