if i get my xmas wishes, a limited edition 'pentax 67'-esque mirrorless medium format camera AND a full-frame mirrorless a-la the 'k-1000' will be announced for the anniversary. if those can offer a value set of features (their former corporate m.o.) manage to sell well, another camera geared towards the entry-level mirrorless market that resembles the 'me super' would probably sell like hot cakes.
the real issue they run into is their digital era lenses. they are not really enticing me with anything except the vintage glass... this reality could be spun in a positive manner, i write dramaturgy for a living and i can see the recycling based ad campaign now...

the max yurev video released yesterday outlines the verisimilitude of ALL manufacturers in the area of autofocus (in video specifically)—there is almost no difference anymore. pentax needs to listen to the market, and at least keep up...

perhaps a digression—but if they would’ve put 24 frames per second in the menu options, the manual focus b-roll capabilities of even the older k-5 are actually much better than the much later video darling canon 70d... for professional use the bitrate is much higher. they need to release a camera with a log profile and semi-modern hybrid video features if they want big sales.

told you guys... they are going release a full frame mirrorless camera line that will bring all the fuji fanboys back to a real CAMERA company with real vintage glass... we will be using “eterna” picture profiles like 35mm film and you will all come crawling back. mwahahaha!!

such a mistake... if they want fuji users back, they should give us 10bit internal at 24, 25 and 30 fps... nothing crazy... just late 2018 era usability for b-roll and stills; delivered in a pentax body in late 2019...
