The results shown in your gallery must not be underevaluated, even if you don't like using the lens ;).
If I may make a confidence, I have bought a full frame camera (sorry not Pentax, 24 mpx, for size and budget reasons, but that could accept my 12 m42 an K lenses) largely because I wanted to try the lens on this format (da plastic and russian zenitar 16 thereby)
I am very satisfied, it is so sharp to corners, but surely it needs PP.
Dare I say I would insist on the great deal with size, f2.8 aperture, close focusing (17-18cm), a very nice allrounder for
traveling, street, report coverage, and almost everything except portraits, sports and fauna.
I know it's a matter of taste but I do like using it and the good looking mounted on camera
I hope you try a "only manual" later, to see if it makes a difference ...
