With a little delay, here are my thoughts on your work. Thanks to everyone joining this series.

photocles:
I can imagine that Łódź can be quite hard name to both type and pronounce as it basically completely consists of special characters... Regarding the main subject - processed image, I appreciate how much detail did you bring back again. Although in my personal preference it might be a little bit too much as the beautiful sunset colors are almost gone. :(

noelcmn:
Out of two posted versions I will focus on the second one, which is more unique comparing to the rest. I kinda like deep low key style actually even going into silhouette. Sunset colors got nicely emphasized as well. Myself, I would maybe could try to get rid of cyan tint, especially in the sky.

todd:
That was also my initial idea when I was processing the shot - plain and simple black and white. It perfectly fits the old town architecture. Job's done. Then it suddenly hit me - that would be such a waste to get rid of the sunset sky!

graeme83:
Obviously, you wanted to fix the photo back to the correct orientation. Although it was hard to get away cropping high ISO image. However this has somehow created interesting feeling of film frame. Also low key exposure looks nice here. I just miss the statue which was the subject originally.

tuggie76:
Exposure seem corrected to almost perfectly fit the actual scene I can recall. Also the work put to remove distractions is just wonderful. Lanterns are now on giving nice atmosphere. I totally like it. Although I have a feeling that horizon correction was overdone a little bit.

pankajnjoshi:
Details looks good, but color accentuation got kinda abused here. Definitely not my personal preference. Please consider trying to fix horizon next time. Especially when you take skewed shots like I do

Now the hardest part, where I need to select the only one out of few I almost equally liked... In the end I have decided to award the tuggie76's conception. Despite little horizon thing I really admired the final exposure level and Photoshop (or Gimp ;)) work was basically cherry on the top.
Congratulations to tuggie76 and please bring something nice for us to the next round. Thanks everyone else for participating. Can't wait #298.

Post Processing challenge #297 is starting now. I assume this should be up for a week, so the deadline is 29th of May.
In case of anything missing, let me know as I'm running this thing for a first time.

For the challenge I have finally decided for a fresh shot. Picture was taken on a evening stroll right after the rain in my current place of residence since 8 years - Łódź, Poland. Flags and banners on the lanterns are related to multiple occasions combined all at the same time. Polish flag is related to Constitution Day, EU flag stands for 15th anniversary of European Union accession and green banner is actually promoting football World Cup U-20, which is hosted here and starts tomorrow. Monument in the center honor national hero, Taduesz Kościuszko.

I hope you will not banish me for portrait orientation. Have fun.
