Did you check out the SE? That’s what I use currently. I don’t want anything bigger and the performance is great!

De-clicked the iris of the Vivitar 20mm, and removed all the AE levers/protrusions. Lost the little ball, so no going back now! XD
My solution to the extremely loose iris ring was to cut a double sided tape in half (so it's only one side) and stick it on the inside of the ring with some grease. A little stiff but hopefully will loosen up with use as it compresses more.

Just picked up a mint condition Vivitar 19mm f/3.8 for not very much. Contax mount. Can't wait for an adapter to arrive so I can test it out!

Tokina 28-85 f/4 in m42 mount. Everything is stiff and the blades are very stiff. Closing the aperture requires smacking the lens. Otherwise very clean.
Anyone know a good lens repair tech that might take care of this without charging an arm and a leg?

How do you guys find these "lot" deals with a bunch of camera loot for what seems like pennies?

You and me both. I’d also gladly accept the A f/2.8 or the m42 f/4.5

Just arrived from ebay a "macro" generation Tokina AT-X 28-85mm f/3.5-4.5.
Already fell in love with it just while checking to make sure everything is functional..
Appears to be mostly parfocal, even though they never claimed to be. My close focus subject remained in the same focus plane throughout the zoom range with a tiny bit of breathing. No focus breathing at all. Bokeh at 85mm is gorgeous. The mediocre reviews of this lens on the this site don't do it justice. Hidden gem! I'm going to get another one when I find a good deal.
Close focus is 33cm from front element and 45cm from sensor. At 85mm focal length that's fantastic. |

The two Oconnor model C heads and the 50D in the background. Refurbished and brought back to factory specifications. Already making a review of the Model C. Butter smooth!

Very nice! The black color makes it looks smaller than my silver one  How does it perform? Is it sticky at all? I'm about to send mine into Pentax Camera Repair to have it overhauled; the mirror sticks at 1s and I have a nagging suspicion that the light seals need replacing.

What a great find! That little thing shoots 35mm? Definitely keeping my eyes open for one of those!

Just picked up a Pentax M 35-70 f/2.8 - f/3.5. One touch is surprisingly very tight. Dig it! I like this one better than the 45-125.

I love it, cleaned up really nicely too. I already shot 2 rolls with it. It has the manual for everything including original packaging for everything, AND the proof of purchase. Amazing.
The winder is kaput. The previous owner left alkaline batteries in everything for 30 years, so a lot of the electronic devices are corroded beyond repair. There were other flashes that didn't make it, along with a digital camera. I also just discovered at the bottom of the bag a Nikonos II underwater camera and a Sekonic underwater light meter! Sweet!

Just acquired an entire film kit as a hand-me-down. Included a Pentax MX, MX winder, SMC-K 24mm f/2.8, SMC-M 50mm f/1.4, SMC 45-125 f/4, a bunch of expired Tri-X, filters galore and a Vivitar flash.
