I've decided for a second go at a DFA 24-70 f2.8.. second because the first was not sharp at all and returned. This new lens is outstanding in its sharpness, all the images are handheld.
I have plans for automotive photography for this lens and I'm looking forward to using it in all conditions.
here are the first (test) shots after a little work in post.

I've ventured into the world of lighting and multiple images. I'm using a godox strobe light but still waiting for a xpro trigger to use with the K1. Here's the first real attempt to do this, it is my bike used for practice. any feedback is welcome. s1000rr by Ben M Wilson 29, on Flickr

Thank you, I was surprised at the results and now I don't want to go anywhere without the lens :)
Also looking forward to developing the rolls of film I have with it and the k1000

I have a couple of shot from over the past few weeks but in all honesty, it's been hard to get out for a while now.. the stars and the 28-105 on my K1ii gave me a nice shot. Shooting Star by BMW _29, on Flickr

Ty
That's what I said to photoshop.. I was impressed, there was a lot of overlapping in the images and they were taken quickly, hand held with constant light.. :) the full size pic has alot of detail.

Great panorama, well done..
There are so many great shots here, I wonder if the K1 can take a bad shot with all of you in control of it :D The quality of photos here is outstanding.

I've been busy with the K1 and trying other lenses with it. I'm not sure if the FA 31mm is suited to Astro but it didn't turn out too bad for a moonlit night.

I took the K1ii out again with the very versatile DFA 28 - 105. It was a local event at night.

I'm loving this Camera!
I told the wife I was going out to take some photos and I'll be late home, 300kms driving and 7hrs later I returned home. The night sky was crystal clear and my intention was to find a good place to shoot and wait for the sun to set and try and use the Astro function on the K1. I was sidetracked on the way and it was dark before I found anywhere to shoot so i had to set up on the side of the road as it was pitch black. All pictures are taken with the Pentax DFA 28 - 105.

6sec, f18, ISO 200 Clear Sunset by BMW _29, on Flickr
25sec f3.5, ISO 800 Australian Night by BMW _29, on Flickr
*I had trouble with getting the right focus at night, something I need to learn.
* I did do longer exposures for the ASTRO function to work but this shorter exposure 25sec gave the best result
