Thanks, Paul. I figured it was time to stop moping over the loss of Tom, it had been two years. This little fellow hs adapted within a week, brilliant and smart he is. He's training me well.

Beautiful photo. I love using Snapseed too, it covers a LOT of processing one might normally do in more "respected" apps. ---------- Post added 12-29-15 at 07:35 PM ----------
LOve that second shot, Paul, with all the baubles hanging from the ceiling. Smashing!

What wonderful eyes he has! My Tom was relatively young, only 13, but he got a clot that blocked circulation to his lower body, and by the time I got him to the vet only an hour later it was already too late for him. Ms Smoochie was 18 when she left me in 2010 . It was a good age :)

Awwww, lovely. Now every time I see a photo like that, John, I'm thinking perhaps it's time I got another kitty. It's been over a year since Tom crossed the rainbow bridge.
This is from a while ago. "What's that you're doing?"

Lovely series there :) I still like my 5S and the only thing I'd want to u/g to would be the 6S or 6 Plus, for the image stabilisation. I find with my poor old arthritic and shaky hands, I often miss shots I ought to get, because I stab at the shutter release and shake the phone.
I think its nearly time for a manfrotto phone holder for my tripod.
Also, here's something iPhone users might be interested in... an app which *decimates* noise in the shot. I bought it, and have even managed the odd hand held success. Cortex Cam is excellent.
The shot is just when I was playing with the app when waiting to have breakfast with a friend. Cropped to remove blurred people at the cafe counter :)

Our iPhones do well, even though they may be not latest and greatest. I like my 5S, too :)

I would have to agree, there. I find that my 5S does very well under normal circumstances and even in abnormal. It's surprisingly good at wringing out the best of the light in almost any but dead dark situations. ---------- Post added 03-15-15 at 06:50 AM ----------
And I just love Hipstamatic :) IMG_0388 by kyte50, on Flickr IMG_0394 by kyte50, on Flickr
There are other phone apps as well which are really excellent, but I find that Hipstamatic and the built-in app are enough for me, for now.
