Another HDR shot on the Q Sheffield_04 by screwdriver1, on Flickr
Great locust shots Crewl1, shots like that make me stop scrolling and look at the pics. Really well done.

That could be me, to reduce them to 1024 X 768 means some of the image is cropped, not by much, but some, the other reason may be in the way Adobe Camera Raw's lens correction profile may be different from that applied in the camera to correct for the 8.5mm barrel distortion, pretty much inevitable on a lens of that focal length i would think.
Not having any noise reduction applied may account for some of the differences (there is a little noise in the Raw image, but you have to pixel peep to see it).

I tried out my Q in low light, ans am impressed. Lyceum Sheffield by screwdriver1, on Flickr
This is from the Raw file, here is the Jpeg (using Raw + Jpeg) for comparison. _IGP0568_0027_Small by screwdriver1, on Flickr
The extra detail you get from using Raw is clear with the Q.
Not bad for an image taken at maximum aperture and at 800ISO, shutter speed was still 1/5th of a second. light was really low.
