I like what's happening with LEDs and lighting. It is almost hard to believe - I remember when LEDs meant "impossible to read in daylight". I have seen a Mercedes-Benz rear signal light flash amber when the turn signal is on, then flash red when the driver steps on the brake. LED daytime running lights are popular, without as much penalty as using regular headlights as running lights (fuel economy, reduced life). If you pay attention, some LED brake lights pulse a few times before glowing solidly, catching your attention faster. Mercedes tests show at highway speeds, just the way LED brake lights turn on faster can allow drivers following you to react faster and stop before they hit you.
I think a cell phone jammer that starts up when the engine is running would save lives, but people love their phones.

Exactly. I expect the next step is carbon fiber. Even a Mini is 2600 pounds now.
The 2015 car we have on order is OK with E15 or E10. It doesn't want any methanol.
