Okay, seriously...this continued anti-Ricoh sentiment seems rather "ungrateful".
Okay, Ricoh has never been associated with high-end cameras or any camera that a semi-pro or pro would use but it is what it is...I mean, no one else offered up $120 million for Pentax (IMHO, an embarrassingly small value).
Pentax Ricoh Imaging did release a very nice K3, which IMHO, addressed many of the shortcomings from previous cameras.
So... I say praise our new overlords, RICOH! For they alone, saved our beloved and worthy Pentax. Learn to love the Pentax-Ricoh logos. Ricoh earned/paid for the right.

Sorry folks, I see some grumblings about closing or ignoring this thread. I wouldn't even object to deleting this thread (but that may reek of censorship and people are entitled to their opinions, even if stupid. LOL)
I'll do my part by pledging to discontinue my posts in this thread.

With all due respect to all, I simply don't understand this aversion to the Ricoh name. Remember, Ricoh saved our beloved Pentax brand. We should be singing their praise, not plotting ways to cover up their name!
Sorry, but I feel this attitude is ridiculous, childish, and ungrateful. So, either support the brand or not.

OMG people... Ricoh SAVED the dying Pentax family of products! WTH is with the vitriol towards Ricoh? It's time to accept Ricoh as our new overlords!
I couldn't care less if Ricoh wiped out the Pentax branding... Pentax is gone and we should be very thankful that Ricoh is carrying on Pentax's great legacy.
And to those who feel 'embarrassed' by owning a camera with the Ricoh branding or feel that even Pentax isn't prestigious enough, one word of advice... go buy a Canon or Nikon!
BTW, I just showed a long time Canon owner the specs on the new K-3 and he is now seriously thinking of selling his Canon equipment to buy into the Ricoh/Pentax family. :)

With all due respect... no scratch that... I cannot respect that!
That is the biggest load a hooey, I've read all day!
Trust me, it has nothing to do with you shooting on Pentax; they are turning you down because your portfolio sucks.
I will only hire you if you shoot with Canon or Nikon... said NO COUPLE LOOKING TO HIRE A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER.
Arrggg...
