Actually, those shots are the ones I enjoy most when you post them.:) This is your thread! Post away!:D

The point of this thread in the beginning was that anything that is not FF is just a Toy Camera.....according to the few that insist that to be the fact of it. In reality, we know that is not even close to the truth!:( Many shots in this thread are living proof that Toy Cameras can and do provide excellence in viewing pleasure!:D

Just getting too old to enjoy all the things we used to do there Paul. Our most active years were spent there hiking, biking on our motorcycles, camping and exploring every nook and cranny. Nowadays it is hard for me to walk with my two bad feet, but the memories are still fantastic!:D

That is a very nice shot:)....phones have come a long way in delivering quality shots. It doesn't matter how you get it, just that you get it!

Good to see that Jeannie is not hanging around Cottonmouth Creek....but not so good to see her roaming in Copperhead Cove.

A Toy Camera Story: We went to Big Bend last week for our 8th visit to the National Park and adjoining area. Not really planning a photo trip, but still took all the gear I might need. My K1 and best lenses, the Bigma and FF Tamron 70-200 as well as a few nice primes.

The skies were mostly hazy and not conducive to really nice FF shots and you know what a job it is to pull out a big camera and set up for shooting...while a Toy Camera is always handy and ready to go. So I barely pulled the K1 out of the bag...a handful of shots, nothing much worth shooting.
Meanwhile, Mrs Rupert was heavily working the Toy Camera X20. As we whizzed down the roads, she was snapping away! No masterpieces, but some nice memories and that is what a vacation is really all about anyhow. Long live Toy Cameras!

See what I mean about the haze...worst I have ever seen in that area. There is a coal burning plant just across the border and that is one reason for the haze. Sure ruins the beauty out there when the wind blows northward.

Later, heading down from the mile high mountain "Basin" area it cleared to the north.

Where we parked in front of our motel room at Study Butte...just at the edge of Big Bend.

Two years ago every cactus and plant in the desert was blooming. This year hardly any...it has been very dry there this year. There were a lot of these blooming everywhere, they were about the only ones.

She shot most shots out the windows of the Jeep.

Along the 60+ mile Rio Grande River road from Big Bend to Presidio. One of the most scenic drives in America, just gorgeous!

The rest are here...... It was a great trip and we were glad to make what will probably be our last visit to one of our favorite areas in the world.
Rupert's Album: Big Bend Trip 2017 - PentaxForums.com

Toy cameras are a real lifesaver.....big heavy cameras are not fun to use on a vacation, and not easy to use or handle in a crowded vehicle. Always take a Toy Camera with you so you at least get some good memories!

Best Regards!:)

I still enjoy this thread:), and need to contribute more. I have not lost my love for Toy Cameras. The K1 has garnered most of my attention for the past year, but when I leave the house, it is still the X10/X20 that I grab. Just too many advantages to name, but you guys all know them well. :D

Going out to get me a Chicken Fried Steak:D:D.....X20 will be my buddy as I leave out...shots later?

You guys keep up the good work here, and Paul...you have surely mastered the X10!:)

I do like that shot Paul:)...Cottonmouths will be out and about again soon....remember!;)

Otis advised that the old saying might help Terry....." ......when you get bucked off, get back on and ride again!":D:D

Another nice one Paul:).....I do remember when that looked nothing like it does now that Grapevine is a tourist town. 40 years ago it was nothing you would give a second look.

Some nice shots in there Tina!:):) Looks like you had a great time with good weather. When you are young, a cruise is so much fun and exciting....I recall our cruise many years ago to the Caribbean and all the places we visited with a big smile. As you get older it looks different....like a lot of work! Our youngest son wanted to give us a cruise for our 50th anniversary last year...but we both declined and traded it for a steak dinner at a fine steakhouse here. Of course, had I known that Hooter Girls might have abducted me on the ship, it might have been a different decision!

I asked Otis if he thought Terry might need counseling after his ordeal:(, and he said......"Rupert, don't be stupid!":D:D

Paul, reset it to the factory settings and start over....that has happened to me twice due to something I unknowingly did that messed up the AF. See if that will fix it?

Give us a link Tina! ...Otis said poor Terry was too weak to stand after those Hooter girls abused him....you know Otis...always right! ;)

We want to see them all here...all of them! So get started!

Also, tell us about your trip.....I want to hear the part where Terry got trapped in that cabin with those Hooters girls on a cruise vacation, and how they tortured him and molested him unmercifully:(....Otis apparently got a 911 call from him during the "Terrynapping" and said he didn't sound "all that distressed"?:hmm:

Time for some Straight Talk! Toy Cameras are wonderful!:D:D:D

Was up in the city yesterday with my helper and we ate at the famous China Dragon buffet...wonderful food....and only $8. for all you can eat!:D

Now I have a K1 and some nice lenses, and I wanted to get a few shots of the place and food to share. I asked my helper to open the tailgate of my truck and unload the K1 and my lens bag, get out the two wheel dolly to wheel them in, and we would get a few "Professional" shots.
Being old and tired from sawing up fallen trees at my Mom's place down the road, he asked if maybe I could just use a Toy Camera instead? So I grabbed the X20 and in we went......so handy. No one even noticed I had a camera, unlike the K1 which looks like you brought in field artillery.:(

Could the K1 have done better? Short answer...No!

The first of 3 plates old Tony ate....

Save your back, save your time, don't annoy people with a big heavy black box.....shoot with a Toy Camera! :D
