First of all it wasn't a leak. So, you are wrong there.
Secondly, I made it clear in my initial post that anything below a RICOH GR announcement would not be newsworthy, I said it several times. The GR is not a lame point and shoot. And by the standards you seem to align too, that puts every high end fixed compact in the lame category. Fair enough if you consider that lame. I don't and nor do almost everyone.
It's becoming clear that no matter what I say or said, you won't be happy with it. You're in the minority and I won't pander to the minority.
The news was for those who were wondering, I gave them what I could. It was no more, or less than that no matter what your mind and assumptions make it out to be.
I've said all I'll say on this subject.
Good luck bud.

Stunt you say. You sound upset that I shared what I was told, even though I reiterated many times that I don't know what Ricoh were going to announce, but that it wasn't a lame point and shoot. To me, that would be a WG or Theta, great cameras in their own right but not worthy of me reporting it in advance of PK.
They announced the GR III and future plans for the 100 yr anniversary. They came through on what I eluded too.
Some people will just never be happy, no matter what you say or do. I hope some were appreciative of the fact I shared that news.

1. How are Ricoh doing financially in a declining market?
2. Will Ricoh consider making some of the popular Pentax Limited lenses with weather sealing?
3. With most makers going with mirrorless systems, will Ricoh continue with Pentax DSLRs since there should be less competition now?
4. How important is a R/D and Marketing budget to Ricoh?
