I could not believe my eyes when I saw your photo of the kestrel as I did not notice PF. PF is the reason that I never use this lens. You did an excellent job in removing it.

Perspective distortion is the reason I usually see mentioned for using those focal lengths for portraits.

I still use a conversion rate of about 10:1 for photographic equipment as one has to add VAT, duties and whatever.
I work in Randburg (Multichoice), so definitely should be nearby.

As you're in SA: ZAR500 which is a bit much if one checks the prices in the lens database.
Just curious, where in Jo'burg are you? I live in Helderkruin/Roodepoort.

Quick question. Just bought my first Takumar, a SuperTak 55mm/1.8. Do these come with a lens hood or not? If so, I must check the shop to see if they have it laying around somewhere.

Ira, I guess that you did not see a photo? In that case, they were in a private album and I made it public now. Please let me know if it solved the issue?
