I would venture to say that the narrow yet pleasant DOF makes those APS-C/35mm only shooters salivating ... should they accidentally stumble on this thread. Medium/large format rocks! (n.b.: it's Friday around here...)

Nesster, I have no experience with the 6x7 format but I like the 150mm more and more. The combination of focal length, perspective and bokeh might be at play. Here is another one with it (same roll and a bit of cropping):

Pretty cool shot, tuco. As you say, the graduated effect is probably a bit too much but otherwise impressive.
I am chasing this guy with 645N lately (FA 150mm F2.8, Neopan 400, yellow filter):

Wouldn't I then have to lighten the shadows in post processing with potentially adding some digital (yuck) noise to the film's grain?
That was from my first roll of Tri-X. I should definitely try some more.

You are correct: there was some cropping done to it to get rid of some distracting background elements. That plus the push +1 of the film.
