Excellent !!
Great thanks to you for posting the images in one single thread. That makes it so much easier to navigate and find samples.

It also means .... LBA !!! ;)

Yeah ... I had not thought about getting a "slightly" used K3 ! (without the machine gun issue though)
That would make sense !

That would be fine with me then.
Whether Pentax will opt to update its firmware(s) to accommodate the new lenses on "older" bodies remains to be seen.

Seriously ? You sold the K3 in favour of the K5IIs ?
I'll have to ask you about how it performs with the new lens(es) later when you get one! (or both? ;) )

About the HD 150-450 lens:

Apparently, some function(s) of this lens can only be used with the K3 (and future models?) according to this:
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/16-pentax-news-rumors/287834-hd-pentax-d-...ml#post3143950

So, I am curious about using this lens on a "lesser" body such as the K5 or K5II/s .
Would it be an overkill to get this superzoom when not being able to use all functions of the lens ?

I will likely go for it anyway, when available, but for now I just want to get some opinions/educated guesses !

Cheers!

That's how I feel too.
Then again, it sure looks like this super-zoom just might be a winner.
As you said though, let's wait and see what the (future) reviews will offer.
Cheers!

Just received an email from Ricoh official website, containing this:
(we now all know about those lenses but I thought that this official Ricoh's mail was nice to receive.)
If this exact page was posted here before (likely), please Mod's delete at will.

Willing to do it.... BUT ! Do I have to register to that site if I want to post something?

Edit ... just posted there a few minutes ago.
That DPReview site is so full of already negative "individuals" (trying to be nice here) on all things Ricoh/Pentax .... sad site.
