I think I must have been one of the early complainers about the high ISO performance/rendering with the K3 whilst I had been used to the K5 which, apparently, was much better in that department.
Well, after a while taking pics with the K3 at ISO 1600, 3200 (6400 was pushing the limits a bit), I've learned (slow learner here) that if the exposure is good, the results will be good too. Underexposure is what usually kills the shot, for me anyway.
In PP, I just use a bit of NR on the RAW images with Topaz Denoise (5 or 6)., if needed. No idea about DxO PRIME though.
So, all is well and I like my K3 for high ISO shots as much as my old K5.
