Funny, I saw a K-x in the hands of an Indian tourist in Malaysia at KLCC (I asked him and he told me) in April of this year; the second and the last time I ever saw anyone sporting a Pentax (D)SLR in the wild. But this guys probably shouldn't count, for he was trying to take photographs of the Petronas Towers using the FGZ 360 flash.
The first being my very first K20d that I had sold to a forum member when I ran into her at the Cherry Blossom festival in Washington DC a couple of years ago.

The only people that I've ever seen with a Pentax camera in their hands are a couple of PF members from on here locally, that's it. Ever. Anywhere. And those I met are all through transactions done here on PF so I don't think they even count as "Pentaxians from the wild"
However, a sales kid at a local camera shop who sold me a camera bag a couple of weeks ago said he had been shooting with a K110d/80-200 (variable aperture) lens. But he burst my enthusiasm when he also said he was "moving up" to a D7000 soon because a comparable Pentax system with K-5 was, according to him, a few hundred dollars more than his budget.

I've heard some nutcases have wills written up to be buried with their glass so I'd hold off on that Grey Goose until that's verified:D

I spoke to a Nikonian on the phone today whom I've never met and inevitably, he asked me what I shot with to which I replied, "Pentax".
His response was, "oh, I used to shoot film too".
Good thing I couldn't reach out and grab his throat, and then take all his Nikon gear!

I was at the tidal basin for Cherry Blossoms festival back in April of 2010, from pre-dawn until almost noon. There were thousands of enthusiasts and professionals and I had never seen so many (D)SLRs in one place in my life.
All the while walking around and shooting, I was also observing to see if anyone else was shooting with a Pentax. Finally I saw one Pentax K20D, and when I looked up to see who the owner was, it was one of us from here!
And the camera was my older K20D that I had sold her just some time before!
That was the only time I ever saw anyone with a Pentax in the wild, and I've been on and about with my Pentax cameras for nearly two years now.
