Some more test shots from today. Colors are a little bit cool, rather resembling those of a Sigma lens...

I'd say the old 28-75mm 2.8 Tamron has got a very decent bokeh. Still not sure whether the new 24-70 can match it...

Would be interesting to see some shots that show how it performs in terms of its bokeh. I've read quite often that the Tamron Version sometimes struggles with producing a lovely bokeh...
Some even prefer the old Tamron 28-75 over the new one.
What about the Pentax version? Any "bokeh-shots" which reveal its capability in this respect?

I really thought the 24-70 was considerably bigger than the 16-50!?!?
That seems to be incorrect... Great news!

Obviously, I'm not rondec, however, I also love my 16-50mm and am interesting in the new 24-70mm.
In my opinion you cannot replace the 16-50 if you stick to APS-C Cameras. 16mm are really very versatile (at least when I go out to take pictures). Even the 20mm of my 20-40 Limited brought me to sell this lens again since I was missing the range between 16- and 19mm.
So I would say, on a FF-Body, it might well be a replacement (of course, you cannot really use the 16-50mm there, since it was constructed to work on APS-C only).
Still, I'm not sure about the weight (and size)...
