I brought the DFA 150-450 out for Fleet Week festivities last weekend here in SF.
Who says Pentax autofocus cannot hang with the others?? These jets were zipping past in a blur, and even my eyes could not track the flybys, but the camera caught it, and in good focus!

here is my shot sequence so you can see how the moon broke over the ridge. The Photographer's Ephemeris did most of the heavy lifting, lol.

thanks. I used The Photographers Ephemeris to plan it out and even with the complicated geodetics, the moon appeared is precisely the right spot for my comp.
thanks very much. I am finding the DFA150-450 to be a great performer all around for reach shots.
