i like the midtones alot, just maybe needs more dark tones/shadows.

I darkened the cyan, green and yellow flares(channels in ACR) to match the luminance of the surrounding image(mostly blue information), some burning over textured parts, mono conversion to hide the rest. as you see, the contrast of the original was killed by the flaring so i boosted contrast a good bit. very happy with the result. But if you look hard you can still see most of the hexagons in the final image.

thx matt. this one had to be salvaged as the sun is in the uncropped version at the top and most of the image was covered in hexagonal flares. The lens is great unless there is direct light involved. fortunately it was not too hard to reduce the flaring using the color sliders and convert to mono.
