Please forgive me for replying to a post from 10 days ago (#6820). I am far behind in reading this thread. How on Earth did you get HP5+ @ 3200 to show so little grain?!?! I get bigger grain than that when shooting it at 400! I know many people say Rodinal is magical; is that the secret, or did you also do some post-processing to reduce grain? Your grain is almost as small as I usually see in my pictures made on the slow local film from over there (Efke KB25/KB50). I develop everything in Ilfosol 3, which is general purpose and not usually referred to as magical :) but is what my local store sells. *sigh* --Dave |
