well guys I think I might be leaving this club :) The sigma 105mm's beat up a bit but I NEVER use it so I think its time for my most expensive purchase lens-wise to go....
It will always be remembered as the lens that got me into this foray of macro photography and the obsession I now have

how I want that lens! :)
If I could afford it, I'd own the Sigma 30mm F/1.4, Sigma 50mm F/1.4, and Sigma 85mm F/1.4 right now. And once the 150mm F/2.8 macro comes out ;)
But alas, I am broke

Only minor editing was done, the color is nearly straight out of the camera :)

Is that HUGE, distracting, water mark really necessary?
Nice shots though...

Im thinking its the upload quality which is why I asked if he had a flickr.
Fair enough, and your right "serious" wasn't the right word. I guess I've never been in a situation where a lens stopped down to F/5 still had noticeable PF at such a small image size.

Do you have a flickr? I'd like to see more high quality versions of shots taken with the sigma 180mm....

Some truly fantastic street shots Douglas! Im not sure i'd have the guts to take a couple of those....
edit: and I love the "year one" add in the back, with Jack black seemingly staring at them

You'll love the lens.... its absolutely magnificent.
Everyone nowaday's does PP so i wouldn't judge it based off of SOC shots as they aren't realistic in comparing. Mine is incredibly sharp but it still needs sharpening for macro's. Now if it was on a body without an AA filter maybe not ;)
Check out my flickr for samples. If you want SOC shots anyways PM me.
Edit: just so we are clear this lens is about as sharp as it gets (well all macro's in general), so it goes to show that I sharpen every lens.

I have been searching everywhere for a green linx spider (above).... I took this when I first got my macro lens of one eating a fly:
I feel like I could take a much better photograph now, so Im eager to give it a shot.
(taken with the sigma 105mm so it is relevant to the thread ;):D )
