I will look into this with my K5 later today and will post what I find here. What you described doesn't sound right to me.

Does it do that with any lens? That's not something I experienced with my K5. I wonder if the lens contacts on the camera need to be cleaned...

I purchased my K10D new when they came out. It has seen a myriad of Takamurs, M and K series lenses. I've never had the exposure issues you mentioned. One of my favorite lenses with the K10D is the K 55/1.8 and it was always spot on for me.

There's a thread on here regarding using your manual lenses on a dslr, someone will link it I'm sure. Right now K5 bodies are cheap and work wonderfully with the old lenses using green button metering. All of my bodies, listed in my signature, have seen my K, M, A and m42 lenses.
