Looking at my Tokina 28-70 (older version but similar build) it sounds like oil from the aperture blades. Now I’m wondering if your lens didn’t get baked, as in left in a very hot car for a long period of time.

No, it will not damage your camera. But what do you mean by black liquid? Is it on the outside or inside of the camera?

It does look like separation. It may take a bit of searching, but there are a couple of threads on here about repairing lens separation, including recommended glues.
It’s a good lens, but the time and money invested may be more than a good copy would cost.
