Indeed. This is an ancient French recipe, harmless but very efficient. You immobilise the guy and dust the sole of his feet with coarse salt. Then you bring the goat and let it lick the guy's soles as long as he doesn't spill the beans. All of them.
Ordinarily you learn whatever you wanted and much more in less than twenty seconds.

Thank you for this contribution, I have learned something today. - I totally agree with you for the 60mm macro
- I agree with some nuances for the 11-23mm (no example exactly matches the actual optical formula even though several are very close to it) and the 55-135mm (lens is f/3.5-4.5 whilst patent is about f/3.5-5.6 lenses -f/3.6-5.7 actually)
- I can't confirm nor deny (I haven't found the optical formula but the numbers of elements and groups match) for the 18-56mm and the 23mm and
- I am afraid I have to disagree for the 35mm f/1.4: the examples in the patent have 9 elements in 5, 6 or 7 groups whereas the Summilux uses a very different optical formula with 12 elements in 8 groups. The Summilux could be based on a design by Konica Minolta but the patent you are referring to is not the right one.

Does 'continuity in promoting brand awareness' mean something to you?
Carl Zeiss AG have been steadily and continuously promoting their brand names, Zeiss above all but also Planar, Sonnar, Distagon, etc. Same with Leica: Noctilux, Summilux, Summicron, etc.
On the other hand, no new lens of good merit and reputation has promoted the Takumar name since forty years (charitably, I will forget the Takumar Bayonet lenses...). Only those who already had an interest in photography in the '60s and '70s still remember them.

Uluru, as a Pentax marketing expert you are positively targetting the people over 50. Over 60 even :).

I'd have written "many photographers over 50".
Just lend a DSLR equipped with a prime lens to somebody under 25/30 and you'll get the question: "How can I zoom [in] / [out]?"
