I think each of you guys are improving quite a bit, and you already took good photos to start with.
Cool to see photos from Nesster and others too recently :)
Carl, I really like these 2 shots. Especially the older guy, awesome work IMO.

Nice photos everyone, I'm itching for the next chance I get to go out into the street! I don't live in or visit the CBD here much, so gotta take my opportunities when possible. |

Amongst a page of good shots, I really like Carl's 2 shots, and this one:
great shots :)
You can read a lot of feeling and emotion from these photos. While I am getting much more confident with street shots, getting a good shot with emotion and a 'story' is still mostly beyond me at this point.
Today I tried my 135mm lens on digital for something different:

Thanks for the comments on my phone hanging shot guys. I do wish I had given a bit more space around the phone and not chopped the second girl in the background though.
Great shots Carl, especially with the motion blur, very nice.
Such a high standard in this thread, but a good reason for me to keep trying I guess :) |

Damn, I should have kept my mouth shut!! Tonight I have been scanning my film, and so far I am very underwhelmed at my own efforts! :( Not really getting close enough. However on the bright side I have heaps more rolls to scan and cropping works ok... So I humbly present a couple of shots...
With these I was taking a different approach and trying to limit the DoF.

I think you guys have lifted the standard lately, all of you ;) I have a few rolls of film to get this afternoon, hopefully some photos are good enough to post here!
...nice shots

I'm sure it is, but what model? At a quick guess I'd say it's an ME or ME Super...

Thanks Carl. I would be posting in here every day if I had the time to shoot more. I rarely get into the city, but will make an effort again soon I reckon :)
Nice shots by everyone on this page, and I'd definately say the biker guy is stupid ;)

Javier, Blue - thanks :)
Yes my confidence has gotten better, however I could still do a lot better.
And yes I do feel 'braver' with a film camera, not too sure why. The Super Program isn't exactly quiet with the shutter either. Maybe I feel that the small film SLR isn't noticed so much, or people just think I'm a student or something.
Thanks Blue, I'll see about posting these in some other locations too. cheers! |

Mark, great street photos, I enjoyed viewing them greatly. The "shower door" effect on some verges on a bit too heavy for me, but I still like the shots a lot. I think I can see why the last one went through to PPG, well done :)
Carl - I take it that's a green powerade drink or something? Nice shot.

That's a decent idea Javier, I like it (except that I don't have cup holders in my old car!).
That cheap film looks really good with the 'effect' it has.
