Thanks for the thread. Used my original K20D to kick-start an immaculate DA*16-50/2.8 back into life. Funny, I've a semi battered 50-135 that hums away with SDM. I'll probably send the 16-50 to gets it SDM motor replaced but in the short term a useful fix.
