Marked difference in resolution of details between the two files for sure. It has always confused me that a heavily cropped photo will expand into a larger image than an uncropped one. If I was being generously cynical then I would suggest that Flickr is trying to even the playing field for the majority of its users which are probably mobile (cell phone is the term in the US I think?) based.
Picked up another In Explore for 'Older Star' :) Flickr does seem to like the FA50 Macro!

Luxuriate in the extra desktop space. 27 is the perfect size for QHD. Well wear! (Irish saying for good luck with your new purchase :))

Sandy's suggestion of the iMac is good as Apple probably make the best AIO units and you have total ease of use. Sarah's is probably better in that you have freedom of screens to choose from and ultimately allow you to take your compute power anywhere if needed. K-1 files do give machines a workout. I took a standard work laptop for emergencies on holiday with me, standard HP Probook with i5 (7 Gen), 4GB ram and a 512GB HDD. With AV on high alert as in non secure area, it takes roughly 10 mins to export a RAW file... My normal laptop (they one in the headphone shot and performance ramp shot) with a Xeon cpu, 64GB ram and dual M.2 drives takes about 20 seconds per RAW file. My home desktop, about 5 to 10 seconds per file but that is an atypical machine :) Moral of story, plenty of RAM (16GB minimum, bit of CPU power (8 gen Intel i5 or higher or the new Ryzen mobile chips) and nippy storage. Find something that supports M.2 PCIe gen 3 and throw in a Samsung 960 EVO or PRO drive, SSDs are passe now.
SSD = R/W 550MB/s
Nvme = R/W 3000MB/s and 2200MB/s

Picked up an 'In Explore' for "Boom" and also the high ISO Pixel Shift "That's just stupid" so the FA50/2.8 showing it can still rock on FF and 36Mp :) and we have half a month to go. My personal favourite so far is the Onion (of those that I have shown).

I've been bold today and tried out the 31 on the K-1 and all I can say is wow :) I never really got on with it on APS-C but I think it will be an April mount for SIC.
The 50 macro is a stonking optic, if I had access to an alloy 3D printer I would rebody in the older Limited style in an instant. The only way you can make it misbehave is to have the sun in the corner of the frame at wider than f/5.6 and you might see some green at the opposite corner. Resolution, contrast, OOF rendering are all there in abundance. I could complain about AF speed but that is down to the gearing and me expecting miracles from both it and the K-1. If anything I think it prefers the K-1 to the K-3 which has caused me to raise an eyebrow once or twice. I was going to say surprised but it would have been the wrong adjective to use as it goes way beyond that. I paid €150 for it and it is the best value lens I have I my bag under any criteria I can think of.
PS I will catch up on comments tonight hopefully. Thanks to all those who have taken the time to browse through my stuff, always appreciated.
S!
