Haha, that's very close to me as a teenager. An M-135/3.5 followed the M-50/1.7 kit lens, then later a set of extension rings, and finally (I might no longer have been a teenager by then) a Vivitar 24/2.8

Aha, thank you, that's interesting.
The complexitiy of the construction looks closer to that of some wide range zooms (like Nikkor 24-120 or Canon 24-105), which would make a lot more sense.

Sure. But maybe not an oversized monster with umpteen elements like this looks like.

A real macro zoom would be a novelty, but 35-80 would be a somewhat weird focal range, wouldn't it?

I'm still flabbergasted by the complexity of this lens given it's modest aperture and zoom range.

The patent seems to indicate a minimum length of ~160 mm, minus the K-mount flange distance.

But the 33-55 is old and the 28-45 is crop only, so it's for FF 645! You heard it here first!

Anyway, the size makes no sense, even if it includes flange distance (which I guess it must), it would indicate a minimum length of approximately 115 mm. That's quite a bit longer than the 28-105, and even a bit longer than the 24-70. It doesn't make sense.

The construction seems to be more complex than the 24-70/2.8, with one element more. That's quite a bit more complex than the 20-40 Ltd. I bet it's for the 645 system.

I would guess that it's front element to focal plane distance, so it wouldn't be quite as huge as it may seem.

But is it really a K-mount lens? What if it is a 645 lens?
