Hmm, I thought global shutter FF sensors were a little closer to realiza... But I tend to be a little too optimistic about the speed of tech development. The first time I saw a high resolution (grey scale) screen in 1988, I imagined that something like the iMac 5K I use at work now would be just a couple of years away ;-)
(But when I told my high school computer geek friend in 1979 that we would have pocket computers with enormous processing and memory capacity in 30 years, I pretty accurately described a smart phone. He didn’t believe me and argued that there was no way to make such a small computer)

I don’t think we’ll see new leaf shutter lenses anymore - because full frame sensors with global shutters are coming anyway.
