Since I already own the Sigma-100-300mm f/4 APO lens the DA300 would be pretty redundant as the Sigma zoom is just as good optically - and doesn't have the risk of SDM issues.
I'm hoping Pentax will release an optically and mechanically improved version of the old FA 400mm f/5.6.

Thanks, but now that I think upon it, the 16:9 crop version of that image works better. Also removing the Moire from the waters surface helps. This was shot during a sunset, hence the spectacular colours.

As little as possible, there are some instances where I have used of 50% crops. But I find for printed output of commercial quality I get as close as possible to my subjects and I never crop.
